Stop by and help us in our strive to remain a central part of our vital community!

Open Art Studio

Kids and their adults can stop in and get creative! Explore many forms of visual art, paint, sculpt, collage, and more in our fully equipped Art Studio. A new project each week!

ThinkShop

Use real saws, hammers, and screwdrivers to make your very own invention! ThinkShop is open daily; one adult for every three children is required. Everyone must wear safety goggles! ThinkShop is free with admission or Family Museum membership.

Veteran’s Day Project

Support those who serve and protect by helping put together care packages for our Armed Forces. Make a card to express your appreciation.

We will be using the website AnySoldier.com and the related sites for Marines, Airmen, and Sailors, to distribute packages. This website provides an individual name with a wish list and that serviceman or woman shares the packages in their unit. Look for wish list items on our website and e-newsletter during the two weeks prior to this event. All monies collected from our Gravity Well during October will go to pay for the shipping of the care packages.

Wishlist items: Snacks (like Pringles so they aren't crushed, and spicy items are favored), beef jerky (no pork products), dried fruit, individual drink flavor packets, hot sauce, ramen noodles, hand sanitizer, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, foot power, chapstick, razors, contact lens solution, pocket size wet wipes and tissues, sun screen, inexpensive ear buds, 220 volt outlet accessories, work gloves, laundry soap pods, dryer sheets, long boot socks - heavy duty, pens pencils, stationery, good paperback books, magazines, and items to make their areas more homey.

Open Clay Studio

Come get your hands dirty in the clay studio! Families can explore a variety of clay and experiment with different building techniques. Try your hands at the pottery wheel with fifteen minutes of individual instruction time. There is no charge to play; if you’d like to keep certain projects a $5.00 material, firing, and glazing fee will apply.
