Traveling Exhibits

In order to change things up a bit, we bring in exhibits from all over the world for Family Museum visitors to enjoy. “Traveling” exhibits are chosen for their unique, educational, and interactive content. We have worked with some of the most respected institutions including The Smithsonian Institution, Science World British Columbia, the Institute of Museum and Library Services, and the Minnesota Children’s Museum just to name a few.

Don't Be a Zombie! Be Prepared

Dates: Mid September - October (exact dates are unknown at this point)

Don’t Be a Zombie! Be Prepared gives visitors the motivation they need to put together an emergency preparedness kit: a zombie apocalypse! But don’t be frightened; everyone survives in this playfully serious exhibit about how to gather the items needed to weather a storm, provide for pets in an emergency, or know what agency to contact when the power goes out. Based on material from the Centers for Disease Control and the Extension Disaster and Emergency Network, the exhibit issues a clear alert: “If you are prepared for a zombie apocalypse, you can survive any disaster!”

Presented by Purdue Agriculture Traveling Exhibit Program and Purdue University

Please note that this exhibit may not be suitable for younger guests. It will be located in the Traveling Gallery, so if you do not wish for your little one to visit this exhibit, please stay clear of this area.

I was so impressed by your children's museum! We had such a great time. If we lived in the area, we would buy a membership and be here frequently.
