Russell Dig Zone!

It’s an undisputed fact that kids love to dig, but the opportunity doesn’t always present itself. We at the Family Museum aim to change that with the Russell Dig Zone! Located in our Courtyard, the Russell Dig Zone! is a place for kids to "drive" big trucks, dig, dump, sift and play in sand and pea gravel. Prepare to get dirty!

This project would not have been possible without the help of some of our community partners. Russell Construction generously funded the Dig Zone. Forrest Frymoyer from Frymoyer Fabrication & Supply lent us his expertise and math skills, provided our substrate at cost, and furnished us with 26 employees from C & B Material Handling dba Big River Equipment Co., Inc. to spend an entire day in the blistering heat moving gravel and sand and cleaning up the courtyard for the season. None of this would have been possible without all of them and our small but mighty exhibits team.
