Home School Art: Clay

Cost: $105

Dates: Wednesdays November 1, 8, 15, 20, December 6, 13, 20 (no class on November 22 for Thanksgiving Break)

Time: 9:30 - 10:30 am

Age: 5 - 10 years (5 years by September 1, 2017)

Get the basics of 3-D Art with Mr. Glenn!  Mold, sculpt, shape, glaze, and learn about beginning ceramics!  All students will get a chance to “throw a pot” on the pottery wheel as well.  Please note- space is limited to 10 students per session. Register now.

Kindergarten Readiness: 1-2-3 Math for Me!

Tuesdays and Thursdays

Time: 1:15 - 2:30 pm

Age: 4 - 5 years (4 years by September 1, 2017)

Dates: November 7 - December 21 (no class November 21 and 23 for Thanksgiving)

Cost: $200 (2 payments of $100/month)

This class will focus on all things math! Geometry (shapes and patterns), measurement, the language of math (more than, less than), and spatial relations (in front of, behind, etc.). Prepare your preschooler to be math-ready for Kindergarten. Perfect add-on to your morning preschool class. Must be potty-trained; no pull-ups, please. Register now.

Early Out Art/Design Studio

Use your early out time to get creative!  Explore different art mediums to help make props, set pieces, or backdrops for the Family Museum’s Fall Events. Kids will work collaboratively to problem solve and get to see their work on stage at Scarecrow Shenanigans and Winterfest. Home School Art: Drawing and Painting

Learn about perspective, distance, shadows, how to draw portraits, and other drawing techniques. Beginning Pottery

It’s pottery for beginners.  Miss Grace will teach the basics of hand-building using a variety of clays. Inventor’s Club with Mr. Glenn - Kids Rule!

Put on your thinking caps and join the Inventor’s Club. Mr. Glenn will put your imagination skills to the test in this fun, creative after school program. Kids will rule the lessons! Spanish for Kids!

Mail in only registration for Spanish must be postmarked no earlier than Saturday, February 4, 2017. Online registration is not available. Please use registration form.

$50 Deposit; 9 monthly payments of $75; if you are signed up for New or Old Blues, you will be billed in 12 monthly payments beginning June 2017)

Introduce your child to Spanish through our comprehensive, year-long exploration of language and culture. Taught by Valerie Alves, an experienced preschool instructor and native Spanish speaker, this unique program uses a creative hands-on curriculum to build language skill. A wide variety of activities, including games, music, and group interactions, are used to build vocabulary that reinforces and encourages successful communication in Spanish. Lessons focus on daily language used by students, and each student is encouraged to speak Spanish and have fun!

Spanish classes start the week of September 11, 2017, with breaks that coincide with the Family Museum's Preschool Alternative class schedule. ** Deposit due at time of registration**

Our teachers utilize a variety of teaching techniques to bring out the best in each individual child. Students will experience the arts, science, math, literacy, character education, creative movement, and Kindermusik every week.
